Situated on the road section Mucenieki-Kļavāni, 1 km in length by the river Pelīte, on the old Jēkabpils-Jaunjelgava road, constructed somewhat around 1820. An interesting tale about the construction of this road has been preserved– the builders had cheated on the customers by constructing the road at the beginning and end only. The commision that verified the work was shown only one part of the road, then they were seated in carriages, splendidly treated with food and drinks until getting tipsy and falling asleep. When they woke up on the other side of the road, no error had been found in the project since that part of road was well built too.
