Situated on the road section Mucenieki-Kļavāni, 1 km in length by the river Pelīte, on the old Jēkabpils-Jaunjelgava road, constructed somewhat around 1820. An interesting tale about the construction of this road has been preserved– the builders had cheated on the customers by constructing the road at the beginning and end only. The commision that verified the work was shown only one part of the road, then they were seated in carriages, splendidly treated with food and drinks until getting tipsy and falling asleep. Sala Secondary School’s history study room
The school building that now hosts primary school was constructed in 1879. Since the beginning of its activities in the 1990ies not only unique testimonies of bygone history but also quite common and fairly recently used items can be seen. In these rooms, a special aura is present possibly due to the fact that the items here speak to people and recalls the warmest memories from their years of childhood and youth.

Ezernieki Devils Rock - a place of cult
A story goes that in olden times devil stepped on the rock and later sat on it and slept on it too, all the while combing hair and picking louse. There are several holes of varied sizes in the surface of the rock. Altogether there are 5 holes present. Measurements of the rock is 6,8 m x 3,6 m x 1,3 m, circumference - 16.40 m, volume – 15 m3. Pormalu Silvermound
Pormalu Silvermound is a 26m high mount with steep edges. An important social centre in the region in the period before our era an up to late Iron Age. The settlement at the base of the mount occupied the whole of the defense zone. Silvermound is considered as noteworthy monument of ancient times. An old tale tells us that formerly in its place stood a silver castle ruled by a stern king. When an elderly man begged the king for food and shelter, the king refused him. As a result, the castle sank in the ground and in its place a mound had rose.

Open-air leisure complex "Zvejnieklicis"
Encompasses an open-air stage, childrens’ playground, various sports fields and pitches, pathways alongside Daugava river and a mobile boat dock in the bay of Zvejnieklīcis. During the season from May until November, open-air events are organized. Among them is the Daugava Fair. The leisure complex "Zvejnieklīcis" can be leased for corporate events.

Recreation complex "Waterstone" in Birzi
In this mill, flour was ground until mid-20th century. Afterwards, it was used as an accommodation. For more than 10 years now the mill hosts a holiday rental complex "Ūdensdzirnas" among a well-planned scenic park and sightseeing landmarks. This is a well favoured venue for organizing both major and minor events. Rooms for gatherings host up to 80 guests (with overnight stay included), there is a fireplace hall, kitchen, billiard table and executive rooms.

Saint Anne’s Evangelic Lutheran Church in Birzi
Constructed from 1847 until 1848 by the project of architect J.Held. The altar painting was created by L.Eginks, the organ constructed by Martin. The church has suffered much during World War I. It was restored in 1930 with a lowered tower and consecrated in May 18, 1930. The second organ was constructed by Sūnekls and installed in 1936. The organ was then dismantled and taken away before the construction of a batting manufactory in the church and it its’ location is still not known. Birži Great Rock
Birži Great Rock was only partially accessible until 1980. It was positioned in a glen, enclosed by trees, bushes and a mound of gathered rocks. When amelioration work was being done in the 80ies of 20th century, the rocks were taken away and field flattened but the Birži Great rock remained. In 1983 there was an attempt to transport this giant to Sala parish Birži village. While excavating it, the huge size of it was revealed hence it was deemed immovable and the operation failed.
